Lookin' Great
Today brought a large change in the overall appearance: the final backfill, with the addition of a layer of rock "dust". The sand used for most of the filling is very fine, and when dry it blows around into everything. The rock dust layer will help control the dust, and looks nicely finished as well.
Al and Mike did a lot of raking and shoveling (after Al did a LOT of raking and shoveling yesterday!), with some help from Hugh.
Then Al commented that the ideal location for the radio link antenna was directly in line with a 10" diameter tree, about 50m out in the field. A quick trip home produced Hugh's tree trimmer, which worked well, trimming the tree to within a foot of the ground.
