A Very Pouring Day

A lot of pouring was done today. First, the skies opened up and resumed filling our wading pool at CRC. Then that let up, so the decision was to pour the concrete for the basic footings (after using two Shop-Vacs to empty the forms!). No sooner was pouring complete than the skies decided they did not like the competition, and opened up again! A quick run home brought a large roll of 6mil vapour barrier which works well as tents over each footing.

In the photo (click it for full view) Al is supervising Chris, our concrete expert. Hugh had some fun poking around in the concrete too, but spent a couple of hours earlier in the day (when it was dry!) installing the grounding system for the building. The bright copper cables show part of that.
